Longplay of Ghost of a Tale, one of the most beautiful and intriguing games ever in my opinion. Never seen such a wonderful animated main character before, the game world is overwhelmingly lovely, the map design as artful and clever as in Dark Souls and the story leaves me curious how Tilo’s adventure will go on. This is not a perfect playthrough – although it was my third already. For example I never managed to find the “flooded cell key” – please leave a comment or contact me if you know how to get it!! All the quests I was able to get are solved in this run, all roses found, all (?) costumes obtained.
The graphic glitch in the catacombs (at aorund 02:06:00) was the only one inevitable to show in the longplay and it only appeared in the 6.60 version, not in the previous ones. Through my playthroughs I recorded some more graphic inconsistencies and although I get sick easily when in deep immersion I tried to get to the bottom of the game (for a true explorer the end of the game world is not a frontier) – didn’t manage to get a short-cut from the Far Tower Ruins to the harbour though 😉
By the way the longplay is showing the DRM-free GOG version of the game. The voice in the intro of course doesn’t belong to this version or the game at all (I’m sure you can tell by the german accent and the bad recording quality!) – but I just couldn’t resist adding this personal note to my longplay of -definitely- one of my all time favourites! I had an awesome time with Tilo, Silas, Gusto and Fatale, Rolo and of course Kerold Redwhiskers! Please, dear dev(s), let the story go on!
